Black Oxford Untold Stories

Black Oxford Untold Stories celebrates the contributions and legacies of the University' of Oxford's Black Scholars through the delivery of workshops, lectures, creative projects and events. 

Pamela Roberts is an award-winning cultural heritage producer and Historian, Fellow of the Royal Historian Society. Her seminal work and extensive research work about Christian Frederick Cole includes the lobbying and securing a plaque at University College, Oxford to commemorate him as the university's first black scholar 1873.  Theatrical performances exploring Cole time at Oxford.  The production of a short film recorded on location at the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, University College, Oxford, and the Grand Hall of the Central Criminal Court (The Old Bailey). Pamela has also written about Cole for the BBC History Magazine and biographical entry for Oxford University Press Dictionary of African Biography.
